In the present scenario the digital technologies have become a vital part of the developing nations. Every narrow transaction takes place through digital processes. Whether it is enrollment for school and college admissions or application of job, government has terminated the offline processes in all the sectors. But an unexceptional part of the society evidently tells that most of the people belonging to low socio-economic backgrounds are still facing difficulties in adapting digitalization due to the limitation of resources. We organize registration camps of school and university admissions for girls who are unaware of digitalization.

What is EWS?

Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) is a term used to refer to those citizens or households with income below 1 Lac. This categorization as EWS is distinct from other categories like “disadvantaged sections” which refer to the category of people belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe or other Socially Backward Communities who may be having a disadvantage owing to social, cultural, geographical, linguistic, gender or such other factors. However, the definition of EWS includes those people who are categorized Below Poverty Line. EWS is basically defined differently for different schemes run by the Government of India. Further, state and central (Union/Federal) governments may set different criteria for deciding on the EWS status. Governments periodically review and re-fix income ceiling levels for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) to keep it relevant and contemporary.

Essential Documents for EWS admission

  • Ration Card/Smart Card of Parents
  • Voter-ID of any parent
  • Electricity Bill/Water Bill
  • Adhar Card/ UDI Card of Child in the name of Parents
  • Birth Certificate of child
  • Income Certificate

Eligibility Criteria for EWS Admission Delhi

You should be a resident of Delhi and the annual income of the family should not be more than Rs. 1 Lac. In case you belong to Disadvantage Group you don’t need to provide income proof / certificate for the admission and your child is also eligible for the admission however the age of the child should be between 3-6 years.

EWS Registration and Application Process

The registration and application processes are different sections. In the registration section you have to register the basic details of the child. Once the registration process is done you can apply for any standard whether Nursery, KG or class 1st according to the age of the child.
